Faculty Inquiry Projects

I am excited to announce our latest Faculty Development Effort- Faculty Inquiry Projects.  Faculty Inquiry Projects are “faculty communities” focused on particular questions around big ideas. Faculty communities will meet to discuss, problem solve, and share ideas focused on a set of questions that they agree to explore. Groups will meet 5 times throughout the semester either in-person or virtually via Zoom; schedules are set ahead of time and faculty apply to a particular group knowing that they are expected to attend at least 4 meetings. Each community will have one to two facilitators.

Faculty Inquiry projects are building on what we, at CI know to be effective practices in faculty development:

  • Cohort-based models
  • Prepared faculty facilitators
  • Opportunities to build community across disciplines
  • Use local expertise

At this time we are recruiting CI faculty to join our effort as facilitators. We encourage those with previous facilitation experience to apply. Please see full details and the application on the Faculty Inquiry Projects Call for Facilitators page.
