Promising Practices

Teaching and Learning Innovation is participating in the CSU Chancellor’s Office Initiative to Reduce Bottleneck courses. We have received funds for Promising Practices course redesign in the 2013-2014 & 2014-2015 academic years.

2013-2014

  • Dennis Downey- Introduction to Sociology (SOC 100)
  • Rachel Cartwright-Quantitative Methods for Biology (Bio 203)
  • Lorna Profant- Human Anatomy and Physiology (BIO 210)

2014-2015

Mary Adler will facilitate an effort to enhance classes with 40+ students with the goal of creating more student engagement and increasing the student-faculty and faculty-faculty interactions and reduce the number of repeatable grades. Courses and instructor being determined.
