Blended Learning

Blended Learning is often defined by the percentage of time spent online.  For example, at CI a course is listed as blended if 30%-70% of the course takes place online (SP 12-08). However, blended learning at CI is about much more than a % of time or a location of a class. Blended learning at CI is about improving student learning through creating meaningful engagement in the online and face-to-face environment. We aim to bring the best of both environments to the learning experience. When a class is blended it allows students to learn outside of the traditional structure. Blended Learning utilizes the breadth and depth of information and resources available online and combine it with active, engaged learning in the classroom.
